The Santa Barbara Museum of Art presents internationally recognized collections and exhibitions and a broad array of cultural and educational activities. We are seeking to fill the position of Development Assistant. This key supporting position will contribute administrative and coordination skills toward our Capital Campaign and various Development Department functions such as our Annual Fund.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of administrative support experience, preferably in a development environment, or non-profit. The best candidate will have excellent planning and organizational skills as well as an ease with our Board, volunteers, and the public. Prior experience in membership support, customer service, or related field is preferred. The Position requires data entry and record-keeping experience with an extremely high level of attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness, high proficiency with Microsoft Office, and excellent customer service skills. BA degree is preferred. Must maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Knowledge of fundraising software Raiser’s Edge or other is an asset.
The position reports to the Director of Development
Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F 8am-6pm with occasional evening and weekend hours in relation to events
