Enjoy a late afternoon viewing of The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse from the Dallas Museum of Art and Encore: 19th-Century French Art from the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Then, in true flâneur style, stroll to Petit Valentien, transformed for the evening into a bohemian boîte. Savor wines from Renegade Wines, thoughtfully paired with masterpieces in the exhibition and complemented by elegant bistro bites.

As art, wine, and music converge, sommelier, songwriter, and New York–based chanteuse Kristen Lee Sergeant will be joined by pianist Josh Nelson to perform original compositions from her forthcoming projects Intoxication and Beyond the Frame.

More on Kristen Lee Sergeant
Kristen’s work is all about the listener having a dramatic musical experience. Steeped in jazz and theater, her concerts and recordings are journeys in theme, story and song. Her current project in development is a song cycle based on the artwork of Éduoard Manet. Somewhere along this journey, Kristen became a sommelier (certified, even) and worked in some of Manhattan’s top restaurants. Out of this passion she has a wine label with Ted Nash called Two Notes, now in its fifth vintage. Her love of and expertise in wine brings with it a certain seriousness about pleasure that informs her work in any medium be it liquid or sonic.

Tickets include admission to both exhibitions from 3:45 – 4:45 pm, the performance, wine, and bites.

Seating at Petit Valentien begins at 4:30 pm.
