"Armchair Travels" Lecture

Join Keelan Overton, an Islamic art historian, on an “armchair tour" through the awe-inspiring cities and sites of Iran, a country that is at once modern and traditional, progressive and anachronistic, accessible and elusive. While much of our news is filled with the negotiations of a nuclear deal, Dr. Overton, who has traveled to Iran as recently as last year, will share a personal and scholarly view of the splendid art this country offers, as well as an insider’s look at some of her own research efforts in cities like Isfahan and Tehran.
