Summer Art Camp – Build, Construct, Sculpt: Exploring 3-D Art

Ages 5 – 6

This summer, SBMA is offering seven weeks of in-person art camp at the Ridley-Tree Education Center at McCormick House. Children spend their day immersed in hands-on art-making and creative problem-solving while being inspired by original works of art from the Museum’s collection and special exhibitions.

Experiment with form, color, and scale as you design and build sculptures in wood, clay, wire, fabric, and cardboard under the influence of artists in the Museum’s permanent collection. Let three-dimensional works of art crossing cultures and time—from ancient myths carved in stone to a one-ton contemporary reflective stainless steel organic form—inspire your constructions.
