Summer Art Camp – Textile Techniques
This summer, SBMA is offering seven weeks of in-person art camp at the Ridley-Tree Education Center at McCormick House. Children spend their day immersed in hands-on art-making and creative problem-solving while being inspired by original works of art from the Museum’s collection and special exhibitions.
Reinvent works in Museum’s collection in felt, yarn, thread, and recycled textile pieces. Campers discover new avenues for making as they explore historical and contemporary fiber art techniques such as surface design, sewing, weaving, block-printing, and dying.
