Use wire, wood, clay, and other mixed-media and recycled materials to build a variety of sculptures, inspired by some of the Museum’s most intriguing 3-D works. Mix it up by building minimalist and maximalist pieces while exploring scale, balance, gravity, surface texture, and storytelling.

Express yourself through line, shape, color, and texture, inspired by artists in the Museum’s collection. Explore a variety of techniques and media including watercolor, acrylic, and ink as you interpret the world around you and build a painting portfolio.

Spend the morning in the clay lab learning the basic techniques of throwing pottery at the wheel in a fun and relaxed environment, making simple clay forms, and experimenting with surface decoration and glazing techniques. After lunch, focus on multimedia re-made projects that combine, reuse, and repurpose materials into unexpected works of art inspired by the Museum’s collection.
