Ages 5 – 12

Discover how artists throughout history have created portraits to tell stories, express emotions, and capture unique personalities. After exploring works of art on view in the galleries, students will create their own original portraits in paint, prints, and collage. Through hands-on experimentation with color, texture, pattern, and composition, students will learn how to represent themselves and others in imaginative and meaningful ways.
