Cruising the Greek Isles aboard Le Bougainville

Cruise into the cradle of Western civilization and the classical world aboard Le Bougainville, a new luxurious ship which made her debut in 2019. Unpack once and enjoy the advantages of small-ship cruising—Le Bougainville can dock in small ports inaccessible to larger vessels, tours are in small groups, land excursions are included, meals are open seating, and there are only 92 suites and staterooms. Decorated by a French designer, staterooms (205 sq. ft.) and suites (290 to 484 sq. ft.) have ocean views and all have private balconies.

The itinerary includes guided tours of Delos, Mykonos, Pátmos, Rhodes, Santorini, Mycenae, and Epidaurus with optional pre- and post-tour extensions of Athens and Delphi, respectively. Visit six magnificent UNESCO World Heritage sites and experience the time-honored traditions and delights of authentic Greek villages. Lecturers from cosponsoring institutions will give talks on board and there will also be a panel of local residents discussing contemporary life on the Greek Isles. Cosponsoring organizations include Duke, Harvard, Smithsonian, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
