Japan aboard Island Sky, featuring a guest talk by Pico Iyer
One of SBMA Travel’s most popular programs, this cultural journey combines hotel nights in Tokyo with an 8-night cruise aboard the all-suite Island Sky, a sister ship to Hebridean Sky, formerly the beloved Corinthian II. With a focus on temples, gardens, art, and shrines, guests may choose from excursion options as the itinerary takes us through Kanazawa, Matsue, South Korea’s ancient capital of Gyeongju, and the contemporary art of Naoshima Island.
As part of SBMA Travel’s Cruise Series, four expert lecturers from our cosponsoring organizations will accompany the full program, and acclaimed travel writer Pico Iyer will join the group in Naoshima for a special guest lecture.
Extensions in Tokyo and Kyoto are available.
