Development Department Coordinator - Full Time

Join in our commitment to the Museum’s goals and mission with support to our Director of Institutional Advancement and our Development Department by assuring oversight of successful day-to-day operations through general administrative, clerical, and events assistance while serving as a liaison with development related Board committees, other departments, volunteers, donors and staff on daily operational matters. Duties include responding and corresponding with Museum stakeholders, managing the Director’s calendar, maintaining donor and roster files, department schedules and checklists, invoices/pledge and payment processing plans, and more.

The Development Department Coordinator’s role requires excellent organizational abilities, experienced office work, demonstrated research and writing capabilities, and general knowledge of non-profit fundraising preferred. Consistently demonstrates superior analytical, verbal and written communication skills, thoroughness and attention to detail and proofreading, proficient computer literacy and systems management, efficient online research, portfolio management, and preparation of bios/strategy documents. Must develop and maintain positive and productive relationships, consistently demonstrating collaborative planning and organizational skills, while anticipating tasks with initiative, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.

A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred and three to five years of experience in an administrative position is required; prior executive assistant preferred. Must possess advanced computer literacy and systems management for effective report generation and file digitization, with proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Raiser’s Edge in collaboration with our database manager to track fundraising progress. Working with nonprofits and knowledge of art and/or appreciation for art is highly desirable.

  • The position reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement.
  • Schedule: Full Time, regular status, 40 hours per week, some evenings, weekend or holidays may be scheduled.
  • Ability to adjust schedule to flex hours to support evening or weekend events. May be asked to escort Museum Travel Tours (travel pay rate applies).
  • Compensation: $25.74/hour
