Security Guard(s) - Full Time and Part Time

Full Time 40 hrs/week

Part Time up to 19 hrs/week

Join in on the excitement of our Exhibitions and Art Programming in downtown Santa Barbara within the newly renovated Santa Barbara Museum of Art. Security Guards wanted and welcome at $18.38/hour for full-time and part-time regular schedules. Full benefits at full time and partial benefits for Part time up to 29 hours/week. Opportunities to work on weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.

Duties include patrolling the Museum to prevent theft, damage and injuries, monitoring and reporting any security or safety irregularities, and providing information to visitors. The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance and effective communication and customer service skills. Some security or law enforcement experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required.

Full Time status is eligible for all of our health plans including medical, dental, vision, pretax, long term disability, and life. You are also accruing 15 days of vacation and are issued 64 yours of sick leave at hire and annually thereafter. The Museum pays for 13 holidays and 14 days during Federal Voting years. Part-time regular status up to 29 hours/week is eligible for partial benefits with a schedule of 20 or more hours/week which include: prorated vacation pay, holiday pay, 64 or 40 hours paid sick leave, voluntary insurance plans, and 403b retirement savings plan with a 100% employer match of up to 5% of earnings after a year's service.
