Artists of all levels are invited to paint en plein air in the gardens inspired by the delicate brushwork, intricate details, and lyrical compositions of classical Indian Miniature paintings. Museum Teaching Artist Nicola Ghersen will introduce gouache painting techniques, color mixing, composition layering, and decorative borders, and will demonstrate how to tea-stain paper. With extra time, participants can take part in a brief, hands-on introduction to monotype printmaking with Nicola, creating a set of three small prints.
