Be a part of our welcoming the community into our newly renovated and expanded galleries, and part of supporting our mission to make a difference integrating art into the lives of people. The Santa Barbara Museum of Art presents internationally recognized collections and exhibitions and provides our visitors and extensive membership with access to a broad array of diverse exhibitions.  SBMA additionally provides cultural and educational activities and programming that both enlighten the viewer and participant, but also expands the artistic experience into the vast world of art and its inspirational impact on our lives. 

The Santa Barbara Museum of Art is seeking, dependable person with good customer service skills to serve as a Security Guard as an essential extension of securing our expanded spaces and ensuring a safe and accommodating visitor experience.

Your duties include patrolling the Museum to prevent theft, damage, and injuries, monitoring and reporting any security or safety irregularities, and supporting the access for information for an engaging and memorable visitor experience.

The ideal candidate will have a professional appearance and effective communication and customer service skills. Some security or law enforcement experience preferred and a high school diploma or GED is required.

• Schedule: May include weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.)
• Full-Time status, approximately 40 or fewer hours per week
