Education Fund

In Santa Barbara, art is common ground on which we enrich and nurture an energetic, caring, and united community. Our education programs—accessible to everyone—offer a variety of programs with a clear set of ideals: give diverse people access to the Museum’s collections and resources, ignite imagination and spur learning through careful instruction, and build community connections through empathetic growth and cultural exchange. Through these efforts, we continue to touch people’s lives, offer them a path to learn about the growing community and larger world, and, on the best of days, help them learn about themselves.

The Museum’s mission of integrating art into the life of the community is at the heart of our education programs connecting thousands of people each year to art and their own potential as artists. Addressing art initiates as well as aficionados, these diverse programs reach participants from a wide range of ages, interests, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. At every level we seek to engage, educate, and inspire through programs, classes, and experiences that foster creativity, empathy, critical thinking, and observation skills, and build both knowledge and a cultural community through interaction with original works of art.

Now you can directly support these exceptional and innovative education programs by giving to the General Education Fund.
