The Santa Barbara Museum of Art’s ArtReach Program is an on-site, multi-visit and Museum tour program that sends SBMA Teaching Artists into school classrooms. Lessons emphasize the materials and methods artists use, and the cultural context in which their works are produced. Visual Thinking Strategies are used to connect students to original works of art in the Museum’s permanent collection or special exhibitions.

For 2026-2027 school year, each session of ArtReach will include FIVE weekly visits on Wednesdays or Fridays and a field trip to the Museum. Field trip costs including transportation will be covered by SBMA. Please contact School Programs Manager Molly Kemper at mkemper@sbma.net to register. Please include your preferred start date(s) and indicate how many classes your grade level has.
